a good post over at Balance of Power about aggro management, along with a great 300/Demotivator mashup that prompted me to make this one :D
In short -- squishies don't want aggro, the tank does. But the math behind it is interesting. For example, I didn't know ranged DPS have to out-DPS the tank by 30% to pull aggro away from them.
I do occasionally pull aggro from the main tank - today I did a run of Mana Tombs with a level 64 - 66 group, and quite frequently out-aggro'd the tank. But I think I know what to do when that happens: don't run away, in fact, run towards the tank and frost-nova the mob in place to allow the tank to re-establish himself at the top of the threat table.
